Vault Nine

Nine physical units enter the reserve. You choose one concealed slot.

Vault Nine is ArcTrove's fixed-reserve selection mode. Nine eligible, unique physical IDs are locked, concealed under a precommitted deterministic permutation, and presented as display slots. The customer's chosen slot resolves through that committed mapping to the physical item they receive.

Simple enough to verify at a glance.

The reserve is fixed for that selection event. Every participating unit has a unique physical inventory identity.

9

Reserved

Eligible physical items are atomically locked to the pool before selection.

1

Customer-picked

The customer picks one concealed display slot; its committed physical mapping is resolved and assigned.

8

Released

The non-selected physical items leave this pool and remain individually accounted for.

The shuffle conceals the mapping. The customer chooses the slot.

Before the choice, a deterministic seed process commits a permutation that maps the nine display slots to the nine live reserved physical IDs. The customer then chooses a display slot. The already-committed mapping resolves that slot to one inventory ID, which moves into the buyer's vault as one atomic state change.

  • Every candidate maps to one actual physical unit.
  • No candidate can appear twice in the same live reserve.
  • The permutation is committed before the customer chooses.
  • The customer's slot choice—not a later RNG call—determines which committed mapping is revealed.
  • An item cannot be sold or assigned concurrently elsewhere.
  • The receipt preserves the pool, permutation commitment, chosen slot, resolved physical ID, and policy evidence.
